Butterfly Garden

Cover

About a year ago I saw this You Tube video by Drew Scott. I knew I was wanting to make an album like that. He did a USTREAM show (it's recorded- go check it out ) later, so that was great!!!

I got the Tim Holtz On the Fence die, the Pink Paislee Butterfly Garden papers, other embellies listed and began. But it took me a while to get the right(older Sizzix)frame die and Prima yellow lace. I found the frame die, bought crackle paint and picked up the album again. Hope to make some progress this spring :)

I also made a change here and there.
Getting pretty bulky

So far all pages are almost done, but I decided not to do the back, just paper. The last 2 pages also differ, but I stayed close to the one shown in the youTube video- I fell in love with. Luv the whites and pastels with a bit of drama in the brown and trinkets.

Altered bracelet

I found a bracelet to use for the closure, but the "charms" are Prima's / Marion Smith's Vintage trinkets.

I made some butterflies today

Inspired by Prima's wood embellies I made some of my own.

Crackled a Frame

I crackled a frame today with Rangers picked fence Crackle Paint.

I noticed some cute crackle on the Fairy Belle papers so wanted to repeat that throughout the album.

Tim Holtz Pocket Envelope die

More in post below

It's shown actual size on the package

Prima Printery Pocket Envelope Album

Cover with open envelope.

The closed envelope measures 3" tall and 4" long. I only used 2 sheets of Prima Printery paper. What I had left I used for  photo mats { 4 mats to go in the pockets}, some tiny tags, a stamp frame and the closures of course. Will add new pics soon when it's got more embellies and stuff. It's rather cold Spring weather at the moment and some clouds hiding the sun. I'm happy I have my base album ready. I made it with the die I got at http://www.lovescrapping.nl/

Embossed crown Prima Printery stamp

Just love how this envelope turned out.
The Printery paper 's so great to work with.

Page 3 {and page 5 open envelope}

Made a file folder to fit a tag and something small. It is closed by a garment pin that can swivel.

Glossy Accent

 ...more embossing...

I did the binding with eyelets and lace, but there's still room for 2 3/4" by 3 1/2" photo mats. (7 x 9 cm).
Or if you leave the envelope open you even could fit larger tags.

The back

I reinforced the creases with masking tape and glued lace as my die unfortunately cuts through were it's supposed to score. Hopefully in time it will get duller or maybe I need new clear plates for my Big Shot or get the crease pad?
